Awsm Aps ("we," "us," or "our") built BackWords (the "App," "Game") as a party game where players record their voice, hear it reversed, and try to mimic it. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. By downloading or using BackWords, you agree to the practices described here.
BackWords is built around on-device audio processing. When you or another player records a phrase during gameplay:
We have no access to, and do not collect, the content of anything you say inside the App.
BackWords uses the following third-party services, each provided by Google, to keep the App free, measure performance, and fix problems. These services may collect information automatically as described in their own privacy policies:

None of these services receive your voice recordings or any transcript of your speech. They collect only technical and usage data about how the App is installed and operated.

BackWords requests microphone access solely to record gameplay audio on-device, as described in Section 1. The App does not request access to your contacts, photos, location (beyond the coarse, non-precise location third-party ad/analytics SDKs may infer from network data), or any other device data not listed in this policy.
BackWords is a general-audience party game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.
If Awsm Aps later markets BackWords specifically to children or lists it in Google Play's Designed for Families program, this policy and the App's ad configuration (e.g. AdMob child-directed treatment) will need to be updated accordingly before that listing change goes live.
We do not retain your voice recordings at all — they exist only transiently on your device during gameplay. Technical and usage data collected by Firebase and Google Analytics is retained according to Google's standard retention periods for these services, as described in their linked policies above.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California). Since BackWords itself does not collect or store personal data on our own servers, most such requests relating to app usage/advertising data should be directed to Google via the links in Section 2. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add a new feature or third-party service. We'll update the "Effective date" above when we do. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
